Rebecca recently completed my Masters of Science at the University of Toronto in Dr. Andrew Lim’s Sleep and Brain Health lab at Sunnybrook Hospital. Her project examined sleep fragmentation, astrocyte activation, and cognitive decline in older adults. The lab uses ambulatory devices to measure and quantify sleep and circadian disruptions, including sleep apnea, in large community-based cohorts.

Rebecca was funded by Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (QEII‐GSST) program which was designed to encourage excellence in graduate studies in science and technology. The program is supported through funds provided by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and funds raised by the University of Toronto from the private sector.
