Olivia is a PhD student on the Wellcome Trust 4-year PhD programme in Translational Neuroscience, based at the University of Edinburgh's Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences (CCBS). Olivia gained a BA in English Language at Cardiff University before undertaking an MSc in Language Sciences with Specialisation in Linguistics with Neuroscience at University College London. Olivia’s current research aims to improve characterisation of cognitive impairments associated with sporadic cerebral small vessel disease (SVD) across a range of clinical manifestations (including stroke, vascular cognitive impairment and vascular dementia). She is also examining the longitudinal trajectory of SVD-related cognitive impairments in both non-clinical and mild stroke cohorts.
