Dr Maria Valdés Hernández, the Row Fogo Lecturer in Medical Image Analysis, has recently published her second book as a senior editor, in Springer.
“Predictive Intelligence in Medicine. Third International Workshop, PRIME 2020 Held in Conjunction with MICCAI 2020 Lima, Peru, October 8, 2020 Proceedings”, is the third edition of the computer sciences series published by Springer, PRIME 2020.
The book consists of 19 papers which touch on the field of high-precision predictive medicine.
A selection of the papers in the PRIME 2020 edition was presented at the virtual MICCAI event - an international conference on Medical Image Computing & Computer Assisted Intervention.
I am grateful for having the privilege of working with a team of brilliant & enthusiastic colleagues. I want to thank them & all the highly-dedicated excellent researchers that are driving forward the field of medical image processing applying artificial intelligence methods to prediction tasks, which are crucial for future individualized computer-assisted medical care & intervention.
