Professor Maiken Nedergaard has recently received the 2022 Sleep Research Society Award.

The Sleep Research Society (SRS) has selected four scientists as recipients of the 2022 Sleep Research Society awards, recognising excellence in sleep and circadian research.

 The winners will be announced during the SLEEP 2022.

The UK Dementia Research Institute (DRI) launched a new online brochure aiming to highlight the progress of the Centre.

The UK DRI involves 7 research centres accross the UK, including the University of Edinburgh, all working together to tackle dementia. Professor Joanna Wardlaw leads the vascular theme which focuses on vascular contributions to dementia and neurodegeneration. Read more... Read more

Every year, Clarivate identifies the researchers cited most frequently by their peers of the preceding decade. The publications rank in the top 1% of their field in Web of Science. Congratulations all!

eBook titled "Medical Image Understanding and Analysis" reached 200, 414  chapter downloads in November 2021. The book was co-edited by Dr María Valdés Hernández from the University of Edinburgh, and Dr Víctor González-Castro.

The book only in 2021 was read by as many as 17,757 scientists and studenst who downloaded the chapters.
