Professor Serge Charpak
Professor Serge Charpak researches the effect of sensory stimulation on cellular network activity within the olfactory bulb. The group uses 2-photon imaging in rodents to measure blood flow and partial oxygen pressure, and determine how this is affected by sensory stimuli. These imaging techniques can be coupled with electrophysiological recording to characterise neuronal activity.
